Colgate-Palmolive: The Ethics in Action REDcast: Why Colgate is Hacking ITSELF!
In June of 2020, during the first few months of the Pandemic, Colgate-Palmolive’s Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team released the very first episode of its brand new Ethics in Action REDcast (podcast) series. This innovation for Colgate was developed in partnership with an external, professional podcasting company. T
he podcast learning solution and vendor relationship had a very successful, multi-year run, but for March 2023, the Colgate team was charged with developing and distributing its first-ever completely internally produced podcast to all Colgate People. It took a lot of heavy lifting, equipment procurement, cross-training, project prioritization, etc., but by many accounts, the output was the Company’s best one yet.
In fact, this podcast made the Company’s cyber security messaging truly come alive as it impactfully and innovatively reminded all employees of the daily threats it faces, what each of them can do to protect themselves and the Company, and it introduced Colgate People to the Company’s internal “Red Team,” explaining first hand — and through their own stories — why Colgate is hacking itself every day.
Colgate-Palmolive won Silver in the 2023 Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards® for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program.
