SCL Health’s Use of Best Practices Shows that Learning Can Save Costs (2020 Case Study)
SCL Health’s Enterprise Learning and Personal Development’s increased team collaboration and the consistent application of industry best practices became the hallmark of the EL&PD team in 2019 and continue to guide them to the present day. For example, prompted by the advent of the COVID-19 global pandemic, SCL Health’s EL&PD team pivoted and began the implementation and adoption of a self-directed New Employee Welcome. In doing so, SCL Health recovered a labor cost savings of $50,400. It is estimated that approximately $300,000 in potential labor cost-savings could be recovered. SCL Health was honored with a Silver Award for Best Learning Team in the 2020 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
