As the Human Resources executive for Life Event Services (LES), Kate leads the team dedicated to supporting employees and their families during major life events. The mission of the LES team is to provide personalized connections to resources and benefits by tapping experts inside and outside the company. In her role leading GHR Business Continuity, the team ensures HR has recovery plans in n place to enable quick response and recovery from any business disruption and provides enterprise guidance on GHR practices such as pay, time-off and benefits. The LES team has managed more than 150,000 cases to support our employees, retirees and their family members for needs around survivor support, domestic violence, natural and man-made disasters, transition related to military service and other major life events. The team most recently expanded its support to serve as a human connection to our employees through care, compassion and empathy during the global pandemic. Kate joined Bank of America in 2008 as part of the Global HR Development Program. Kate has held HR generalist roles supporting the bank’s Risk, Compliance, Marketing, Legal and Corporate Audit and Credit Review functions. Most recently, Kate served as the HR Executive for the Local Markets Organization and led the Market HR network across the U.S. Prior to joining Bank of America, Kate led a team of researchers at Corporate Executive Board managing cross-industry client relationships through customized research support and consultative insight on HR topics and issues. Kate graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and International Studies and obtained her Master’s in Business Administration from George Washington University. Kate participates in the Wake Forest Alumni Committee for the Charlotte chapter. She and her husband, Ben, reside in Charlotte, NC and have two sons, Matthew and Luke.
