Telenor Executes Strategy to Create Culture of Innovation (2017 Case Study)

Norway-based Telenor needed a strategy to transform the company from a traditional telecom provider into a digital full-services provider. Telenor’s development team partnered with INSEAD and Assistant Professor Nathan Furr, whose best-seller, Innovator’s Method, helped provide the program’s tools and concepts – start-up, design thinking, agile software development, and business model innovation that helped explore products and services from the customer’s perspective. The four-day classroom program is followed by online activities and social networking in modules where learners envision a project, followed by a peer review. Telenor earned a Silver Award for Best Learning Program Supporting a Change Transformation Business Strategy in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
