After Merger, Viacom 18 Immerses New Staff In Its Unique Culture (2017 Case Study)
When India-based Viacom18 merged with Prism TV, leaders knew it was essential to immerse the new staff into the new culture and work environment. So the HR team partnered with cross-functional teams to design a two-day conference for all new employees followed by application sessions in their work spaces. The conference agenda echoed the theme “Welcome Home” and gave participants the opportunity to interact with Viacom18 leaders. The follow-up sessions used a series of simulations that required participants to actively use the values. Viacom18 earned a Bronze Award for Best Learning Program Supporting a Transformation Business Strategy in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
