Bayer AG Metrics Prove Training Value (2017 Case Study)

When Bayer AG started new marketing and sales training in the Crop Science division, the training team created blended learning called “SkillCamp.” Leaders made the training part of the Corporate Scorecard, so the team needed metrics for ROI. Five goals use indicators far beyond participation rates and feedback surveys. For example, analysis of interviews pre- and post-training helped trainers figure out why some participants applied learning on the job and some didn’t. Trainers then used the data to enhance SkillCamp. The initiative earned Bayer AG a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Learning Measurement in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
