Cardiac Crash: Turning Workplace Teams into Lifesavers Through Interactive Training (Case Study)
CardiacCrash, developed by Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, is an innovative interactive training program designed to improve cardiac arrest survival rates through workplace team engagement. The 60-minute experience combines dramatic interactive film, hands-on CPR practice, and team-based gamification to build confidence in performing life-saving interventions. Available in English and French, the program can accommodate 8-40 participants in either virtual or in-person settings, requiring minimal equipment and no prior certification for facilitators. With a 97% participant confidence rate in identifying cardiac arrests and 85% in performing CPR, CardiacCrash is transforming workplace teams into potential lifesavers across Canada.
Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada earned a Gold Award for Best Competencies and Skill Development in the 2024 Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards.®
