Defense Acquisition University Shifts from Clunky Legacy LMS to Modern Cloud-Based System (2019 Case Study)
With the help of Booz Allen Hamilton, Defense Acquisition University (DAU) successfully shifted from an on-premise, legacy learning management system to a modern, cloud-based system. The previous system was a cobbled-together collection of disparate, aging platforms and systems. In the transition from AtlasPro (old LMS) to Cornerstone OnDemand (the new LMS), DAU navigated cost analysis, risk management and time constraints to ultimately deploy an updated, user-friendly system four months earlier than anticipated. Defense Acquisition University and Booz Allen Hamilton won a Silver Award for Best Advance in Learning Technology Implementation in the 2019 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
