Engaging and Recognizing Employees During the COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond (Webinar)

The coronavirus pandemic has changed everything in the workplace. But what employees need from their employers and leaders remains the same. Recognition, the cornerstone of employee engagement, is more important than ever during this crisis.

Employees are expected to adjust how they work – sometimes radically — and still be productive. As they adapt, recognition and appreciation will go a long way toward keeping them engaged. It also can earn their trust and loyalty during a very difficult period.

There’s a mountain of evidence showing that timely, meaningful recognition is one of the most effective ways to improve employee engagement. For example, Brandon Hall Group’s 2020 Culture of Recognition Pulse Survey shows that organizations with strong cultures of recognition are:

• 3x more likely to see increased employee retention
• 2.5x more likely to see increased employee engagement
• 79% more likely to give their employer brand a high rating

However, performance-based, real-time recognition is not the reality for 53% of businesses, the research shows. Integrating recognition into the daily workflows of leaders, managers and employees so it becomes habitual is easier said than done. But this crisis – when routines and norms are already upended – is a great time to change behaviors.

This webinar, sponsored by Achievers, explores leading practices for modern recognition in the workplace so it becomes a cornerstone habit that elevates the employee experience and bolsters engagement and retention – during this crisis and beyond.

Watch this webinar replay as Brie Harvey, Employee Engagement Evangelist for Achievers, and Claude Werder, SVP and Principal HCM Analyst for Brandon Hall Group, explore what the science says about the most effective recognition and examine the modern toolbelt of resources available to help establish recognition as a cornerstone habit across your organization.
