Hong Kong Police College Trains Detectives with 3D and Virtual Reality (Tech Review)
To train detectives, the Hong Kong Police College developed a 3D and virtual-reality environment that mirrors crime scenes officers might encounter in the real world. The college partnered with the Innovation and Technology Bureau and the University of Hong Kong to deliver “Detective Boulevard,” an immersive program that uses stereoscopic views of crime scenes. This innovation earned the Hong Kong Police College and its partners a Gold Award for Best Advance in Unique Learning Technology in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Awards.
