Horton Group Accelerates Success for Sales Talent

With 50% of the insurance workforce expected to retire within 15 years, The Horton Group created Horton University and hired a small training team to develop new producers and leaders in insurance sales, service, corporate, and leadership. To grow and retain such new talent, the University team rolled out learning plans that begin with an onboarding week and follow with a three-week sales combine designed to arm participants with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful. The blended learning includes team building, coaching, shadowing, eLearning, and a mystery that requires critical thinking. The Horton Group earned a Silver Award for Best Sales Onboarding Program in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
