iCIMS Revamps Onboarding to 90-day Passport System

With the rapid growth of iCIMS, senior leaders invested heavily in employee training by turning a one-person department into a nine-member Talent Development team. The enlarged team chose onboarding as one of its first products after surveys and feedback showed that new employees thought they were being given too much information too fast. The team revamped the “fire hose” process by developing a 90-day Passport system where new hires get “stamps” at checkpoints along the way. Checkpoints include completing live and online courses, learning about various departments, and networking with stakeholders. The initiative earned iCIMS a Silver Award for Best New Hire Onboarding Program in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
