KFC’s Online Leadership Class Recreates Realistic Setting (2018 Case Study)
KFC’s Keystone class online simulation is an online version of a previous in-person simulation included in an instructor-led leadership class. Conversion of this simulation to an online format was driven by the need to replace live actors as KFC extended the locations of this class to provide leadership training to more managers throughout the US. The end result is an online simulation which can be accessed by KFC’s LMS through an iPad, while still allowing learners to practice their new skills in a realistic setting with realistic consequences and outcomes. KFC won a Gold Award for Best Use of Games or Simulations for Learning in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
