KPMG Creates Software To Improve Audit Quality and Engagement Reviews (Tech Review)
Faced with the need to cultivate more highly-skilled audit teams, KPMG Audit HR automated engagement reviews to provide auditors to with quicker feedback and coaching. Previously, auditors had to manually input information such as client codes and hours worked and often did so months too late for feedback to have enough impact. Instead, the HR team partnered with KPMG Audit Business School to create the Audit Engagement Review Tool (AERT, pronounced art) that is helping change the culture from compliance-based to an employee-driven development process. This innovation earned KPMG a Bronze Award for Best Advance in an Integrated Talent Management Platform in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Awards.
