KPMG NZ Builds a People-Centric Job Search Experience (2017 Case Study)

Hiring 120 interns and graduates at KPMG NZ (New Zealand) requires interviewing more than 4,000 candidates. The recruiting team decided to reshape the interview process so that it would impact all candidates positively, make their experience great, and — hired or not — give them the tools to succeed. The team crafted rejection emails including application errors, feedback, and helpful articles, videos, and tips. Candidates not hired also receive immediate phone calls. With the same respect given to new hires, they are offered personal feedback over the phone, which is accepted 90% of the time. Recruitment surveys and candidate feedback are used continuously to streamline and improve KPMG NZ’s successful process. KPMG NZ earned a Bronze Award for Best Candidate Experience in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
