Lockheed Martin’s IT Academy Uses Mosaic to Engage Employees, Recruit in Future (2018 Case Study)
IT Academy is a new online corporate university available to the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Solutions employee population. Launched in August 2017, IT Academy contains a number of different resources designed to engage employees and help them reach their career goals and ultimate potential, including experiential learning opportunities (training, collaboration and practical application), experience maps that allow individuals to understand how they can potentially shift their skill sets to better prepare for future roles/needs and a new tool known as the employee Mosaic, a “visual resume” of all past experiences, current skill sets and desired career growth. This visual representation of an employee’s experiences is meant to be utilized as the basis of mentoring discussions, career planning and, eventually, hiring/recruitment within Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin won a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Employee Engagement in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
