Max SkillFirst, part of Max India Group, needed to overcome the mismatch between South India dialects and languages used by most nurses and the Hindi and English used in North India where Max hospitals have a major presence. In addition, the new MD/CEO of Max Healthcare wanted all employees, including office staff and security guards, to exhibit behavior that better connects with Indian culture and customer needs. After leaders made English the official language, Max SkillFirst produced video-based training that engages the senses with real-life, interactive scenarios. The initiative earned Max SkillFirst a Gold Award for Best Use of Video for Learning in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
