MetLife’s Learning Initiative Drives Digital Transformation (2017 Case Study)

MetLife’s Global Technology & Operations (GTO) hub hired a new chief technology officer to leverage digital transformation. The CTO created Workforce Enablement Solutions (WES) to recruit top tech graduates, bring in new energy and ideas, increase productivity and drive innovation, while transitioning to a “One MetLife” culture. WES partnered with D2L, using its “Brightspace” platform to provide “Findable, Consumable, Relevant” assets for continuous learning. Participants use the platform to learn, engage with others, create video assignments, take exams, provide feedback, and find learning paths. MetLife earned a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Learning Technology Implementation in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
