Micro-Learning Meets Augmented Reality at Providence St. Joseph Health (2018 Case Study)
Providence St. Joseph Health found mixing a micro-learning design with augmented reality (AR) experiences creates opportunities for innovation to increase learner engagement, retention and application to work efforts. PSJH designed, tested and delivered two different AR micro-learning experiences: AR-enhanced scenarios and AR-enhanced job aids. Learners have found these experiences to be engaging and delightful while program owners have been able to access an unprecedented trove of data to help them drive strategic business decisions. Providence St. Joseph Health won a Silver Award for Best Approach to HCM Innovation in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
