Microsoft Shortens Course, Increases Learning for New Hires (2018 Case Study)
Microsoft leverages on-demand online training, social learning, hands-on labs, an overarching story, peer-level coaching and teaching and group competition to create a blended learning program that knocks new hires’ socks off. This course was developed because the existing content was dry, boring, disconnected and took way too long to wade through. New hires learn valuable skills and are able to quickly learn what they need to be customer-facing. Microsoft won a Silver Award for Best Use of a Blended Learning Program in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
