OhioHealth’s Evaluation Framework Proves the Value of Learning and Its ROI (2018 Case Study)
With increased pressure to prove the value of training initiatives or lose funding, the OhioHealth Learning (OHL) team chose to use ROI Methodology, an evidence-based evaluation strategy to provide executives not just data on input, reaction and learning but also on application, business impact and ROI levels. OHL created a workshop to teach learning associates how to implement ROI Methodology. The training earned a 4.62 reaction score on a 5.0 scale, participants consistently agreed they gained knowledge, and 60% reported they’ve applied at least one concept/technique on the job. By conducting the training in-house, OhioHealth saved ±$196,000. OhioHealth earned a Silver Award for Best Advance in Learning Measurement in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
