Palo Alto Networks Reduces Ramp-up Time for New Sales Hires

With Palo Alto Networks growing rapidly, company leaders redesigned the onboarding program to reduce the time it takes new sales hires to hit performance targets to nine months. The company already had a highly-effective ‘Bootcamp,’ but the training team realized there was too much to learn in five days. The enhanced program requires new hires to complete pre-work before Bootcamp and provides a guided series of checkpoint conversations for managers to act as coaches and partners. Data shows that time to hit the $1 million mark decreased from two- to three-quarters to one-quarter. The Palo Alto Networks earned a Gold Award for Best Sales Onboarding Program in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
