Performance Management Maturity Model (2018)
- Claude Werder
- Learning and Development, Talent Management, Human Resources
This is an updated version of Brandon Hall Group’s Performance Management Maturity Model. It portrays an evolution of performance management from process-centric to people-centric. At its highest level, performance management should reflect a culture of continuous development featuring in-the-moment feedback and coaching, frequent near-term and long-term goal setting, and collaboration, all enabled by technology. We have developed four levels of performance management – Level 1 (Lagging), Level 2 (Emerging), Level 3 (Developing), Level 4 (Leading). The percentages in the model represent the volume of organizations at each level of development, based on our latest research. The goal is for organizations to evolve performance management so that it is fully aligned with the business and contributes to business transformation and sustained success.
