Powering Technical Excellence: PETRONAS’ Pioneering Matrix Accelerates Leaders (Case Study)
PETRONAS implemented a comprehensive Prioritized Training Matrix (PTM) program through INSTEP to accelerate technical competency development for their workforce. The program features a structured learning ecosystem combining technical know-how, HSE training, and leadership development, delivered through both digital platforms and hands-on experience. The initiative achieved 80% completion rates and helped PETRONAS achieve the highest learning hours per staff compared to other subsidiaries. The PTM approach is now being replicated across other PETRONAS business units to support their Moving Forward Together (MFT 50.30.0) strategy.
