Royal Dutch Shell Program Helps Leaders to Lead Themselves (2018 Case Study)

Royal Dutch Shell’s “Leading to Engage and Deliver (LEAD)” program is a five-month blended learning program helping leaders to lead themselves, others and the business to achieve greater performance and safety through top-quartile engagement. During the program, participants learn in different ways: in and out of the classroom, together with peers, independently and on-the-job. The program’s three-phase​ learning journey architecture first lays down the foundations of “leading self,” then “leading others” and finally, “leading teams.” For this program, Royal Dutch Shell received a Gold Award for Best Use of a Blended Program in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
