SAP Uses Assessment Strategy to Improve Candidate Experience

SAP, a multinational software corporation, annually hires an average of 5,000 to 6,000 college graduates and professionals with 1-4 years of experience. Since there is little to differentiate them, the company developed a three-prong assessment approach: online at the time of application, a Facebook assessment app, and a recruitment game that uses assessment technology on the backend. The customized assessments integrate the results with competency data to determine a candidates score for both culture fit and role fit. Candidates receive real-time feedback. The innovation earned SAP a Gold Award for Best Unique or Innovative Talent Acquisition Program in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
