Sears' HiPo Program Develops Pipeline, Improves Retention
Sears Holdings earned a Silver Award for Best Use of Blended Learning in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.

Sears Holdings identified high-potential associates and provided an enriched learning experience with eLearning, web-conferences, social media webinars, and a mentoring program. The HiPo program, called GEMs for ‘Growing Entry-level Managers,’ have job-specific learning plans that use the 70-20-10 philosophy of training. The program has an entry-level delivery of complex concepts, allowing GEMs to be able to understand and share concepts no matter their learning levels. Sears Holdings earned a Silver Award for Best Use of Blended Learning in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
