Employee engagement at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is about creating a sense of belonging and purpose for each of its employees. Using an internal program called the Maitree, meaning friendship, HR enabled over 100 employee-connect programs where associates met up with their managers and peers in an informal environment to interact and share short stories from their experiences. For this innovation, Tata Consultancy Services won a Silver Award for Best Advance in Employee Engagement in the 2018 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
