EchoPark Automotive Turns ILT Into Blended Learning Program (2017 Case Study)
As EchoPark Automotive moves into more markets, the training team needed to turn ILT into a more sustainable training program for new hires. The team met the challenge by partnering with Highlands Technologies to develop a guided program that maintains the effectiveness of the original training used when launching the company. New hires receive a high-energy welcome that includes ILT training on the brand and culture and a detailed learning map with eLearning, shadowing, role play, a participant’s guide with structured exercises, and a peer trainer. EchoPark and its parent company, Sonic Automotive, earned a Bronze Award for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program in the 2017 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
