Beyond Training Rooms: How Molson Coors Made DEI Personal (2024 Case Study)
Molson Coors launched an innovative Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative called the Empathy Experience, an immersive learning program featuring interactive spaces designed to build understanding of marginalized communities’ experiences. The program transformed from US-focused content to a Canadian expansion, adapting to local cultural contexts while maintaining its impact.
Since 2022, over 1,900 US employees and 223 Canadian employees have participated, with 85% recommending it to colleagues. The initiative includes five distinct experiential spaces, facilitator-led discussions, and follow-up programs like Expanding Empathy to sustain learning impact.
Molson Coors earned a Gold award for Best in Leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Initiatives in the 2024 Brandon Hall Group™ HCM Excellence Awards.®
