Engineering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Çimsa’s Build-On Plus Program Bridges Careers (Case Study)
Çimsa, a leading Turkish cement manufacturer, developed the innovative Build-On Plus Program to bridge talent gaps in critical engineering positions. The program combines strategic university partnerships, comprehensive internship experiences, and structured mentorship to develop future leaders. Through collaboration with IEEE student clubs and universities near their facilities, Çimsa created a multi-phase selection process including career talks, technical plant visits, and interview simulations. The program successfully engaged over 200 students, selected 15 interns, and emphasized diversity with equal gender representation. By integrating digital platforms like Çimsa Academy and implementing detailed feedback mechanisms, the program ensures effective talent development and succession planning for critical positions.
