Future Shapers: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Design-Driven Innovation at Çimsa (Case Study)
Çimsa’s Future Shapers Management Trainee Program is an innovative talent acquisition initiative designed to prepare next-generation leaders for critical positions in the cement and building materials industry. The program combines strategic workforce planning with a unique selection process featuring Design Thinking methodology through an Ideathon. The six-month program incorporates digital onboarding, mentorship, technical orientation, plant visits, and global exposure through rotations. With a focus on diversity and sustainability, the program successfully recruited 12 high-potential talents (42% female) from over 2,500 applicants to fill critical roles across the organization. Through comprehensive training and development opportunities, including visits to international facilities and mentoring from top executives, Future Shapers supports Çimsa’s global expansion while advancing its commitment to sustainable development goals.
