Rebuilding Dreams: How Çimsa’s Mentorship Program Empowered Female Students (Case Study)
Çimsa, a leading Turkish cement manufacturer, launched the “Future is Possible with You” mentorship program to support female university students affected by the devastating 2023 Turkey earthquakes. The six-month program paired 14 students with 13 volunteer mentors, focusing on career development, personal growth, and STEM opportunities. The initiative included comprehensive online training through Çimsa Academy, resulting in 33 hours of completed training and a 90% satisfaction rate. Notably, 38% of participants secured employment during the program, including one mentee hired as an R&D Specialist at Çimsa’s Mersin Factory. The program’s success led to its expansion through the “Tomorrows are Possible with You” project, aiming to connect 500 Sabancı volunteers with university students.
