Phase 2: Real-World Application

Case Study Scenario

Phase 2 comprises case studies that are converted to “what would you do” scenarios and then scored similarly to Excellence Award entries. We provide seven scenarios for you to choose one. Using the scenario as a start, you will identify the business need, design a solution, share how you would deliver the answer, what change management techniques you would use, and how you would measure the program / expected benefits.

1

Using Technology to Improve Diversity and Inclusion

2

Setting a Strategy for Future Success

3

Creating Meaningful Feedback to Improve the Employee Experience

4

Taking Lessons From Sales and Applying to HR

5

HR as the Bridge Between People Skills and Business Goals

6

Big Data, AI, and How HR Can Use These for Cultural Transformation

7

Using People Data to Create a More Effective Workforce

Phase 3: Graduate

Organizational Case Study

In this final phase, you will submit a scenario from your company and how you would address the situation. This phase is a culmination of everything you have learned, now applied to demonstrate your new expertise. Similar to a thesis defense, a board of evaluators reads each assignment and then provides feedback. Once you have completed this final phase, you are officially a Certified Human Resources Strategist.

“I found the case studies really interesting. It can be easy to be trapped in the bubble of our own context. Stepping outside my current day-to-day and stepping into another company / industry / challenge was both broadening and provocative.”

Micah Jacobson
Sr. Director, Global Enablement Innovation Strategy at Salesforce.

“I found this course to be very relatable to my current work profile at Colgate Palmolive. The topics covered provide a good amount of knowledge each professional should possess. The assessments allow us to think from various perspectives and are well laid out for learning retention. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this program.”

Rakhi Dadoo
Global Learning Design Manager at Colgate Palmolive.
