Çimsa, a Turkish cement manufacturer, has implemented a comprehensive diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging strategy with remarkable success in the male-dominated construction materials industry.

The company has achieved significant progress in female representation, reaching 28.4% white-collar female employment (exceeding their 2028 target ahead of schedule) while the industry average is around 5%. Their initiatives include infrastructure improvements, training programs, mentoring, university partnerships, wellbeing programs, and community outreach. Through their “Our Business is Equality” project, Çimsa has broken gender stereotypes by employing women in traditionally male roles, including blue-collar positions, STEM roles, and leadership positions.
