FINRA’s Officer Leadership Academy Drives Strategic Excellence Among Executive Team (Case Study)
FINRA’s Officer Leadership Academy (OLA) is a comprehensive 7-month leadership development program designed for Vice Presidents within their Member Supervision business unit.
The program consists of three parts focusing on Leading Self, Leading Others, and Leading the Organization, delivered through a blended learning approach. Key components include emotional intelligence assessments, StrengthsFinder, Crucial Conversations training, and a capstone business challenge. The OLA successfully strengthened leadership capabilities, fostered cross-functional relationships, and transformed tactical managers into strategic leaders. Participant feedback confirms improved emotional intelligence, delegation skills, and collaborative problem-solving. Due to its success, FINRA plans to implement an enterprise-wide OLA program in Q3 2024.
