Course Curriculum

STRATEGIC SKILL: Design Thinking
A methodology for systematically breaking down the gating factors for difficulty and complexity in supporting the workforce. The process includes the ability to lead a diverse team to explore and encapsulate the need for system thinking to drive a business objective(s). Design Thinking helps identify what will need to encompass and deliver the solution to the current business issue.

STRATEGIC SKILL – Ideation
Conduct and/or lead an iterative process with key stakeholders for generating new and different approaches to improve leadership development

STRATEGIC SKILL: Strategic Planning and Execution
Create a multilayered plan for optimizing outcomes across the organization that directly links those outcomes to organizational performance; apply project management techniques to execute on key initiatives to support the organizational strategy.

LEADERSHIP SKILL: Consulting
Construct process-oriented approaches and methods to discover, design and implement leadership strategies.

LEADERSHIP SKILL: Business Acumen
Firm understanding of fundamental business areas including IT, marketing, sales, finance and operations, ability to read financial statements, implement business goal-setting methodologies (e.g., balanced scorecard, OKR), build business cases and ROI analysis, create business plans.

  • THIS IS PART 1 OF PHASE 1. THE CLDS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM IS A 3 PHASE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.
  • You must complete each section before moving on to the next.
  • You may pause/exit at any time and pick up right where you left off the next time you sign in.
  • Phase 1 - Parts 1 and 2 -- must be completed before moving onto Phase 2.
  • Be sure to review all of the related material for both Parts 1 and 2 of Phase 1.
  • You must pass each quiz with a minimum score of 75%.
  • You may request to have the course reset which will allow you 3 more attempts to pass. To request a quiz reset, please reach out to us at [email protected]. While we try to respond to these requests as soon as possible, please understand that it may be the next business day if your request is received after our working day.
  • Please note: Correct answers to the quizzes will not be provided after quiz attempts in order to maintain certification integrity.
  • Once you successfully meet these criteria, you will move onto Phase 2.
