REQUIREMENTS

  • You’ve completed Phase 2. Congratulations! Phase 3 is where you apply the CTAS competencies to a talent acquisition initiative from your own organization.
  • Choose an initiative from your organization. It can be one you’ve completed, one in progress or one you plan to put into practice.
  • Download the Phase 3 template from the “Exercise Files” tab.
  • Complete all six sections of the template: Company Background, Business Need, Design of the Solution, Delivery of the Solution, Change Management and Measurable Benefits. Use the suggested word counts as a guide.
  • If you don’t know every detail, you may make reasonable assumptions. If results aren’t yet available, describe what success would look like and how you would measure it.
  • At the end of each section, list by name the CTAS competencies that shaped your response.
  • When your submission is complete, upload it as a Word document to the “Your Written Phase 3 Submission” lesson for our board of evaluators to score.
  • Please allow 5 to 7 business days for scoring.
  • You may pause or exit at any time and pick up right where you left off from your Dashboard the next time you sign in.
  • If you have questions at any point, email us at [email protected].
  • Once your Phase 3 submission has been scored and you’ve earned at least 18 of 36 points, you will officially earn your Certified Talent Acquisition Strategist designation.

About Course

Phase 3 of the Certified Talent Acquisition Strategist (CTAS) certification is the culmination of everything you’ve learned. Instead of responding to an award-winning case study, you’ll write your own, based on a talent acquisition initiative from your organization. It can be one you’ve completed, one that’s in progress or one you plan to put into practice. This is often the most rewarding part of the certification, because the work you produce is grounded in your own organization and can be put to use right away.

Using the Phase 3 template, you’ll provide background on your organization and the hiring challenge you’re addressing. Then you’ll identify the business need, design the solution, explain how it is or will be implemented, describe your change management approach and outline the measurable benefits. Throughout, you’ll draw on the CTAS competencies, the Resource Guide and the Excellence in Practice materials from Phase 1. If you don’t know every detail, you may make reasonable assumptions. If results aren’t yet available, you’ll describe what success would look like. Much like a thesis defense, a board of evaluators will review and score your submission. Once you pass, you’ll officially earn your Certified Talent Acquisition Strategist designation.
